Non-Emergency Medical Transportation

Private Black Car & SUV

We provide non-emergency medical transportation designed for people who need transportation to/from their medical procedure with no medical monitoring. This transportation is perfect for dental procedures, cosmetic surgeries, out-patient surgeries, medical follow-up appointments, etc. where no medical intervention is needed during transport. Our non-emergency medical transportation services are provided in sedans and SUVs and are designed with your safety, comfort and convenience in mind; from pick-up at your home to coordinating your discharge transportation with medical/facility personnel.

We provide transportation in the Central Texas region as well as transportation to Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

Before booking any non-emergency medical transportation, we suggest that you first check with your medical facility to see if they require a driver present for the duration of your procedure. Most dental offices require a driver present if you are going to be under sedation during your procedure. Many cosmetic facilities, such as Westlake Dermatology, usually do not require a driver to remain on location. Knowing if you are required to have a driver present will help determine the choice of service you choose. Also check with your procedure facility to ensure they will release you to a professional car service. Some facilities will only release you to a family member or someone who can care for you post procedure.

We provide two choices for non-emergency medical transportation:

Hourly As-Directed:

Hourly As Directed car service is charged by the hour from the time we pick you up to the time we drop you back off. Your driver and vehicle remain on location and is at your convenience the entire time, including the time you are getting your procedure.

This service is convenient for those who are having a quick procedure completed, those whose medical facility requires a driver to be on location during the procedure, and for those who simply want the convenience of a driver and vehicle at their immediate availability.

To book an Hourly As-Directed service on our online booking tool, select "Hourly As-Directed" as your service and then select the number of hours you need service.

Combination of Point-to-Point and Hourly-As-Directed:

Some clients book a Point-to-Point service for their transportation to their appointment and a separate 2-hour Hourly-As-Directed service for the return trip to offer flexibility with timing.

For example, Judy is scheduled for cosmetic surgery at a surgical office 30 minutes from her home. Her appointment is at 7am. Therefore, Judy books Point-to-Point transportation for a pickup at 6:15am, allowing an extra 15 minutes of time for traffic and to ensure on on-time arrival.

For the return trip, the surgical office told Judy that she would probably be done around 11am. Therefore, Judy books a separate 2-Hour Hourly-As-Directed transportation for a pickup starting at 10:45am, which provides service from 10:45am to 12:45pm. Accordingly, if she is done a bit early (which is rare), the vehicle and driver will be there and available. Or, if she is an hour late (which happens frequently), then the vehicle and driver is still there and available at her convenience.

Questions & Answers:

  • Are you licensed to provide emergency medical transportation?

No. We provide only non-emergency medical transportation for which no special license, bonding and/or insurance is required.

We are permitted and authorized by the City of Austin to provide private transportation services. All of our drivers have had a nationwide background check. We have commercial livery transportation insurance.

We have encountered a couple of outpatient clinics in Austin that will demand that patients use emergency medical transportation. Often, these are clinics that are either misinformed or are attempting to up-sell you high-priced transportation so that they can get a kick-back. We advise you to head that nonsense off at the pass by contacting your medical facility and letting them know that you will be using a private transportation service.

Clinics to avoid or be especially careful with are:

    - Austin Endoscopy Center-North, 8015 Shoal Creek Blvd.

    - Synergy Plastic Surgery-South, 11200 Manchaca Rd.

  • Will you bill my insurance company for your services?

No. All transportation is charged to your credit card.

  • What happens if an emergency develops?

Our drivers are not medical professionals and do not provide medical service or monitoring. If an emergency develops, 911 must be contacted for assistance.

  • Do you provide handicap/wheelchair accessible vehicles?

No. Your transportation will be provided in a Lincoln Navigator SUV.

  • Do you assist passengers into and/or out of vehicles?

No. However, our drivers are happy to assist with opening doors and/or handling any personal items you may have.

  • Do you provide mental health crisis transportation?

    No.

  • Do you provide transportation for infectious individuals (such as COVID-19)?

    No.
