Questions & Answers about Wedding Getaway Service:

  • When does the vehicle arrive?

    Make sure to schedule your getaway for exactly the time of your scheduled exit and also provide us your wedding coordinator's name and contact information.


    Our vehicle and driver will arrive at your venue approximately 25 minutes prior your scheduled exit. Upon arrival, our driver will contact your wedding coordinator to ensure the vehicle is staged and prepared with luggage and any other goods. At the time of your scheduled exit, your getaway vehicle will be staged and ready to go!

  • How do we enter the vehicle?

    This may seem like a strange question, but if you are looking for that classic photo of the bride and groom waving out the window, read on.


    The vehicle will be staged so that the passenger side of the vehicle is most accessible. The passenger-side rear door will be opened by our driver. The bride enters the vehicle through this door. Once the bride enters, the door will be closed. This positions the bride at the window closest to the wedding guests. Once the bride is in the vehicle, the groom enters from the opposite side of the vehicle. Once inside, the groom can lean over to the bride. The bride's window will already be down allowing that classic photo of both of you waving out the window. Your photographer will be happy!

  • Can we decorate the vehicle?

    No. Many wedding venues do not allow decorating in consideration of their neighbors. Venues need to be good neighbors to their community. Items attached to bumpers and or other parts of the vehicle usually come detached and end up littering the neighborhood. Complaints about loud music, car horns, and constant litter are things that wedding venues want to avoid.


    For us, our vehicles are professional vehicles that are utilized for multiple clients every day. The vehicle may be scheduled for another client following your exit and items attached or painted on windows need significant time to make presentable. As well, items attached to our vehicle may damage paint finish.


    For all these reasons, we do not allow decorating of our vehicles. Please convey to your wedding party that decorating of the vehicle is not allowed. We will not tolerate inebriated persons repeatedly peppering our driver with demands that they want to surprise the bride & groom with a decorated vehicle. If our driver feels his/her safety may be compromised or the vehicle may be damaged, our driver will immediately leave the venue. This is something we all want to avoid.

  • Can we consume alcohol in the vehicle?

    The short answer is: Yes. But we invite you to read on ...


    After doing hundreds of wedding getaways, we've seen the same theme time and time again. In our experience, the last thing the bride and groom want when they are in the vehicle after their reception is more alcohol.


    Most often, the first time the bride and groom have to compare notes about the wedding and be apart from other wedding guests is in our vehicle. The long day usually takes a bit of a toll and it's the first opportunity the couple has to begin to wind down and truly be together. Most couples enter the vehicle wanting to cool down after an evening of dancing. So, they are usually happy for the ability to control the A/C in the back cabin area. They also just want a bottle of water and have an opportunity to genuinely be together to share and be reflective ... and to giggle about the interesting frock Aunt Betty was wearing and the hair piece that was askew on Uncle Dell!


    This time is often profoundly bonding simply because the weight of the day can finally be acknowledged between the couple. Sometimes, feelings and emotions are expressed between the couple. At that point, alcohol becomes more of a distraction than an enhancement to the experience.


    As well, our vehicles are NOT party buses. We operate a professional service that transports many high-profile clients who do not want a vehicle that smells like a party bus. Therefore, if you drink alcohol, do so responsibly. Our clean-up fee for spilled alcohol in our vehicles starts at $250. Regurgitation clean-up fees start at a $500 and will likely be much higher. In addition, there may be additional damage fees. You DO NOT want to pay our clean-up fees. Excessively inebriated passengers as determined by our driver and/or office will result in immediate termination of service and you will be charged the full confirmed rate plus any accumulated expenses. Fair warning.

  • Why do you charge more for Wedding Getaways?

    We charge more for a number of reasons, but mainly because we have more time, effort, and risk involved in wedding getaways.


    We arrive earlier than usual so that our driver has time to interface with your wedding coordinator. Coordinators need time to direct our driver to properly stage the vehicle. Event staff also needs time to access the vehicle and place luggage and/or any other items in the trunk/cabin.


    We also have more risk involved. We have experienced excited and inebriated individuals surround our vehicle upon exit. Exits with guests wielding sparklers are not friendly to the finish of our vehicles. Exits that have rice, flower pedals, and/or glitter thrown at the bride & groom cause extra cleanup after the run is completed.


    We also guarantee the type of vehicle that you order ... so, we will not substitute another vehicle. You get exactly what you order.


    For all these reasons, we charge more and our rates are non-negotiable. Most car services offer wedding getaways only with hourly rates with a 3 to 4 hour minimum. We have chosen not to do so, however we do have an increased rate to cover our additional time, effort and risk.
